The Research On Commercialization Of Large-amount Supplementary Medical Insurance For Urban Workers

The development and perfection of the Medical insurance system for employees, is the foundation of our harmonious society and guarantee for the economic development of china. At present, China's basic health insurance system has been set up, but because of the lower level of protection from the basic health insurance system, many areas have set up supplementary health insurance for employees.As a supplement of the basic one, the supplementary health insurance plays a crucial role. However, because of the ambiguity of the policy, the supplementary health insurance is organized by the social security department and enforcement by making laws and regulations, resulting in a lot of problems to the supplementary health insurance especially the high rate of compensation, and a serious obstacle to the development of commercial health insurance in China.Based on study of the three types of management of the supplementary health insurance, the instances of the supplementary health insurance developed in some areas in china, other country's practices, I get the idea that supplementary health insurance should be a section of commercial health insurance, and giving my own opinion of the development of the supplementary health insurance.
