| After reform and opening up, a large number of peasants restricted in their land in rural areas , very few benefit from the national welfare, and were allowed of free movement, began to outflow from the rural areas into the cities and developed areas, they entered into the foreign, private factories, engaged in industrial production activities, they entered into the labor market ,and has been forged into a new industrial workers . As category co-existing with "farmers" "urban", in the system and cultural co-construction, the "migrant workers" has become the third social identity in China since the 80's .Accompanying different groups of Migrant Workers wave is the research in terms of "social mobility" "social stratification," "social network", "conflict and anomie". These studies focus on the macro-system data analysis and research, has provided us with the overall flow of farmers and the panoramic screen grasp, but also the groups of migrant workers have been described to an abstract and the huge social groups. Tsinghua Sociological Research in favor of the labor of workers from "abstract worker" switch to "specific workers", "return to production centers" and to deepen the study of migrant workers.Migrant workers into the private sector, directly facing the market is a more typical community industrial labor relations and the exploitation of the capitalist mode of production, exploitation is bound to lead to resistance. However, this study attempted to use field research methods to study the "skilled workers" in large groups of migrant workers based on the "structural power" .Concrete is divided into three main issues:How to show the structural power? The interests of both employers and employees how to proceed with the game? how about the identity of skilled workers in all Migrant workers?Through field research in private enterprise "Y" in Nantong, the study notes: First of all, the "structural power" of skilled workers showed a strong resistance force. Second, private entrepreneurs and skilled workers based on "structural forces" strive to maintain understanding and harmonious labor relations, they use local characteristics of China's human relations and the market economy to establish the relationship between employers and employees to maintain the stability of co-ordination team of skilled workers. Once again, the experience of city life and the "structural power" in favor of identity of skilled workers. This identity is based on capital and social recognition, and no longer confined to the household registration system recognized the identity of the farmers.Ultimately, the studies suggest that skilled workers had become a group of social categories of migrant workers with the unique characteristics. struggling, social status, as well as the formation of life showed they had a common identity, and began to have the recognition of group. |
