Compared with other Rinds store, traditional department stores have no price advantage, no significant operating characteristics. And so they can not meet the consumption patterns. With the impact of foreign retail, domestic department store' s market share continues to drop. How to survive and develop become the most pressing issues for the largest operators of shopping centers. The change of traditional department store becomes an inevitable choice. The paper is to- address the hot issues in Weifang Department Store Group to study the examples of the department store chain's strategy to further investigation. The research on Weifang zhongbai department Store verifies the correctness and practical of chain stores.At first this paper introduces the brief situation of the development of chain store after the analysis, of the background of chain stores. And then it introduces the chain stores business, their characteristics and advantages and puts forward that chain store enterprises can improve brand image and economic efficiency and enhance market share and reduce costs. It prepares for the practice of chain stores. In the later part; it talks about the location and the position of chain stores, personnel recruitment training, logistics and distribution business. It suggests four principles and four methods in choosing the location. It mentions the brand positioning steps according to the brand positioning strategy. It also presents the idea and the method to recruit qualified personnel, as well as the localization strategy to diversify the development of human resources. For investment, this paper suggests a view of the category of investment instead of the brand-name business and introduces the logistics activities of chain store in detail. Finally, with the example Weibai Group, Weifang, Shandong, in makes an assessment and an analysis of the chain stores of Weibai Group. It also makes a research on site selection, talent bottleneck, brand investment bottleneck and keen competition in the local place. To solve these problems, it suggests on changing the business strategy and enhancing the competitiveness in different places; exploring the unknown markets to obtain the beet possible resources of store location and making precise positioning; strengthening human resources training and team-building and enhancing competitiveness. It also makes a detailed research on the implement ion of the strategy of chain stores and makes a conclusion that chain management is the best choice for the development of department stores.
