Research On Tactics Of Overall Planning For Dam City Of SanXia

Dam area city is a sepcial type of the city, which has not been systematically studied. With the great development of hydropower in China, the number of dam area cities is increasing. Dam area city is different from the general city in industry, space, ecological environment and management structure, so it is worthy of further research.Based on regional planning theory and aimed at the characteristics of dam area cities, the paper puts forward the concept of overall planning.Three Gorges Dam area cities consist of the Three Gorges Project Management District and the surrounding three towns (Letian Lake Town, Taiping Town,Three Douping Town). They are close to each other in geography, but are compulsorily isolated in the development of space, which causes many problems.Research on cities of Three Gorges Dam area can solve the problems the Three Gorges dam area is facing during the development , on the other hand, the Three Gorges dam area is representative among the dam area cities in China in mode of city composition ,aspects contraction is involved in and the period.It can reveal the universal characteristics and common problems to a certain extent and offer reference to the development of dam area cities in China.The paper is divided into three parts. The first part proposes and analyses the concept of dam area cities. According to the characteristics of dam area cities and regional planning theory, the concept of the overall planning is put forward. The second part analyzes the status of Three Gorges Dam area city and rises problems. The last part offers overall planning strategy about industry, space, infrastructure and ecological environment of the Three Gorges dam area city. And innovation of management system of the dam area city is suggested.At the same time, based on the study of the overall planning strategy of Three Gorges dam area city ,it summes up the general urban development ideas.
