During the last 1990s, Inner Mongolia Province's animal husbandry entered the exuberant development stage gradually, but the traditional animal husbandry production gradually reveals some new contradictories and questions, including the contradiction of small-scale production and big market, disperser production and large-scale management. As well as livestock product, cultivation, product processing and circulates lacks of relation to each other, lacking of self-development ability question and so on, have already unfitted the objective situation and seriously restricted the animal husbandry development to the high level. If you want to solve these problems fundamentally and realize radical transformation of animal husbandry economic system and growth way, the best way is walking the road of developing the modern animal husbandry.This article uses system compared advance theory, the boundary returns rule and industrial economics and so on as guiding ideology. Embarking from the Inner Mongolia Province's actual situation, uses the qualitative and quantitative analysis method to comprehensive, system study Inner Mongolia Province the development of modern animal husbandry. Starting with Inner Mongolia grassplot resource, livestock species resource and livestock products resource, I have analyses the current situation of Inner Mongolia animal husbandry. Through the quantitative analysis, it is the fundamental guarantee that increasing investment of scientific research, possessing the technology of livestock husbandry, patents and leading products with owned intellectual property. With the restraint factors in Inner Mongolia modern animal husbandry, proposed the development countermeasure.
