A Theoretical And Empirical Research On The Development Of Suzhou's Service Industry

Service sector in the national economy have become increasingly important with the advance of service economy.So it is necessary to promote the development of the service sector,for it can achieve the sustained,rapid and healthy development of the national economy.Suzhou is an ancient city with a long history,it is one of most developed star city in china.Since 1980,the socio-economic development of suzhou is rapid with the development of township enterprises and the promotion of FDI,and the rapid of IT is well-developed in the manufacturing sector particularly.However,the practice of developed countries and regions told us that it will face various difficulties if the economy development just depends on the manufacturing sector.So if Suzhou wants to maintain the advantages of development,it must implys a strategy of double driven by developing advanced manufacturing and service industries.This paper mainly discussed the development of the service sector from two angles: one is theoretical discussion,and other is empirical analysis.First of all,the article summarizes the literature on the theoretical development of the service industry at home and abroad,and introduces the basic concepts of this chapter;Secondly,it discusses the economic significance of the economics' development from theory and empiric;Third,it discusses the outcome of the service sector with a large number of detailed and accurate data analysis of the development of Suzhou City,and studys the affecting factors of the services industry with empirical study.We found that the service industry of Suzhou is facing some problems and contradictions on the basis of the analysis.Finally,it analyzes the strengths,weaknesses,opportunities and threats of suzhou's the service industry with SWOT analysis,and gives some advices on how to develop suzhou's service industry.
