| According to Dual Gaps Model and New Theory of Economic Development, FDI inflow is very important for economic development in host country, so up till now absorbing FDI has been the significant methods for developing countries and many local governments in China to achieve economic development. As a megalopolis in middle China, Wuhan has been stressing to absorb foreign capital. Industry is the mainstay of both Wuhan economic development and FDI, so it's crucial to develop Wuhan economy whether industry can use FDI well. To get Wuhan city in the right direction of making use of foreign investment, it is necessary to research the thorough effect of absorbing FDI to the development of Wuhan industry, including positive and negative effect.Based on the reviewing and analyzing the theory of interaction between FDI and industrial development in host country, the writer comprehensively analyzes the FDI effect on industrial development in host country, by integration of theory with practice, quantitative analysis with qualitative analysis, and takes an empirical study on the effect of FDI on Wuhan industrial development.The thesis is divided into four parts: first part induces the main theories of how FDI influencing industrial development in host country; second part is about the industrial development history in Wuhan city since reform and opening-up, and the present status; third part focuses on the all-sided FDI influence to Wuhan city industrial development; finally, the writer provides suggestions on how to make better policy of utilizing foreign capital, and exert the positive effect of FDI on Wuhan industrial development. |
