The Research On Internet Financial Reporting Platform Based On XBRL

Nowadays, with the development of internet technology, the information users, for example, the government, investors and creditors and so on, get a good opportunity for effective gathering and analyzing financial information.These current reporting modes of financial information has not met the users'needs which intended to search, abstract and analyze the financial information. Then internet financial reporting mode based on XBRL was timely born. The application of this kind of report can solve the problems of users'needs that has not been made by current financial report. Because XBRL is on the base of XML and it can be readily separates to lay the data out from storing. With it,it is easily to drill-down the data and analyze the information correctly. Using XBRL,there is a possibility of sharing data between the different information systems and supplying the means that make the financial information more effective and precise.In 2008, China's Ministry of Finance jointly established the Commission of accounting information with the eight departments of the Ministry of Industry and Information, the People's Bank, the Audit Commission, in order to promote the development and applications of the XBRL financial report. However, there were a few literatures about analysis and displaying domestic XBRL financial reporting, so I selected to such a study, and hopes to be useful for the development of XBRL in China.The author comes out with such thoughts of a custom-built financial reporting platform, grounded on the theories such as XBRL, database and data mining. The article designs an information platform of internet financial report based on XBRL in which can analyze and display different kind of information to different users by means of data mining and OLAP. The author makes an assay of the XBRL instance documents perspicuously and sets up models for analyzing of the platform which includes the custom-built report and multidimensional analysis of data, which is shown several advantages of XBRL. At last the author proposes this kind platform would be develop in China immediately, which is leaded by the government, joined with the companies, and supported by various circles of society.
