The performance management is an important component of human resources management. How to establish an effective performance management system, which can improve the staff and the organization overall performance, is an issue that many enterprises are exploring actively. However, on the whole, there still,exist so many problems in the domestic enterprises' performance management ,such as staying in the traditional performance examine level, lack of communication and feedback, short of scientific indicator system , the separation between strategy goal and the performance management goal of the organization and so on. This paper chooses Dongfeng Automobile Co.,Ltd (hereafter refered to as DFAC) as the study object. With the methods of the Key Performance Indicator(KPI) and Balanced Scorecard(BSC), the paper combines DFAC's development strategy with the current situation of performance management, establishes a set of complete performance management system by integrating theory with practice, and hopes to have a breakthrough in fields of performance management.This paper focuses on two aspects, and the First is the performance indicator system. With the guidance of the basic theory of overseas KPI performance management and the applied research of internal KPI performance management, the paper makes a thorough analysis of DFAC's current situation of performance examine, finds out the key factor for the successfully realizing the enterprise strategy goal by using the KPI and BSC theory, and forms enterprise's KPI objectives framework. The paper carries correlation analysis by using the goal matrix decompose diagram, matches the strategic goal with the enterprise corresponding department, decomposes and forms the department KPI by using the causal map, and then discovers the staff's KPI according to the department KPI and the post responsibility. The second is the performance management processes and process management tools. According to the performance management's relevant theories, and combined with the actual situation of enterprises, this article has designed DFAC's performance management processes, which include the four following links, performance plans, performance counseling, performance evaluation and face-to-face performance feedback. It has designed the process management tool. Among them, " Contract of Post Performance" as a performance plan management tool could consolidate the performance pledge between superiors and their subordinates, "Performance Evaluation Form", as a performance evaluation management tool, could realize the appraisal model that can have self-assessment, direct leader assessment and indirect leader confirmation, and " Performance Interviews and Feedback Forms " as a management carrier of performance improvement could record and promote the communication between superiors and their subordinates to help the staff to enhance the job ability .
