Study Of The Impact Of Consumer Demand Over Economic Growth

The problems of economic growth is not only a question received attention by governments and people all of the world, but also an important aspect of economic research. From 1978 to 2008, the average annual growth rate of China's economy is up to 9.6%, the overall national strength raised significantly, citizen's income level and living standard improved constantly, at the same time, residenters' consumption demand of quantity and quality improved greatly. However, we still facing the problem of inadequate consumer demand. Our country's economic growth will be restricted if the problem is not resolved properly. Therefore, this paper intends to study the impact of consumer demand over economic growth , and carries out empirical analysis about the impact of consumer demand over our country's economic growth. This paper has six parts as following.First of all, understand and grip the study about the impact of consumer demand over economic growth at home and abroad as well as the the status quo of our country's consumer demand. At the first part, we recalling of the opinions of scholars on the impact of consumer demand over economic growth. At the second part, we analysis the status of our consumer demand from the consumption rate, household consumption and government consumption, the consumption of urban and rural residents, people's consumption structure of consumer demand.Secondly, grasps the impact of consumer demand over economic growth theoretically and explore the way of the impact of consumer demand over economic growth. The third part analyses the impact on economic growth from the perspective of both qualitative and quantitative of consumer demand. The fourth part disgusses the transmission mechanism of the impact of consumer demand over economic growth at two levels of the changes of consumers' real purchasing power and expected purchasing power.Then, this paper analyses the degree of the impact of consumer demand over economic growth in our country. The fifth part analyse the consumer demand, the investment demand, the impact of net exports over economic growth, as well as the impact of the consumer and government consumption, consumption of urban and rural residents on economic growth by ues of our country's economic data from 1978 to 2007.Finally, this paper give a number of recommendations on how to get rid of the constraint of economic growth due to the lack of consumer demand and promote our economic growth...
