Research On The Governance Performance Of Interfirm Network Organization

In the organization of what takes the shape of single corporation, performance evaluating has been looked upon the organic constituent of enterprise management all the time. With the competition being more furious day by day, it is noticed and discussed more and more diffusedly. The purpose of enterprise performance evaluating is to provide evidence of personnel decision-making and staff motivation for governors, to provide career information for employees. To the whole network organization (NO), the meaning of the research on NO governance performance is that: it makes for the establishment of corporation benefit distribution plan. To every cooperation node, the meaning is as below: first, it helps to acquaint governors with the actuality of cooperation and then carry through the evaluating job; second, it matters the strategic selection for further cooperation, evacuating investment to end the cooperation or keeping up cooperating hangs on the objective evaluation of cooperating performance.This paper constitutes the influence factor system from four facets that governance aim, structure, mechanism and circumstance. On the guidance of the principle of combining process and result together, the evaluation indicators system is structured on two facets that process performance and result performance. The paper carries through the study using the methods of questionnaire survey and Structure Equation Model (SEM) . On the basis of the data which are collected through questionnaire, it analyses the degree and mechanism that the factors influence the NO performance through SEM.The conclusions are drawled as below: the more obvious the otherness among cooperation nodes, the stronger the complementarity and resources dependence, the better the culture compatibility, the higher the relationship capital intensity, the better the governance performance is; the governance aim, mechanism and circumstance have some influence to the performance, but it is not very obvious because of Chinese circumstance.The main innovation points of this paper include:First, this paper conducts the study of NO governance performance from the angle of the whole NO.Second, it constructs the evaluation indicators system of NO governance performance from two facets of process and result.Third, it sums up factors which influence NO governance performance and analyses the degree and mechanism that the factors influence the NO performance through SEM.NO is a new kind of organization form, the evaluating to its performance touches the nodes'decisions. The study of the performance influence factors makes for improving cooperating performance from every angle and advancing operation efficiency of NO.
