Strategy Research Of Chinese Oil Enterprise Participating Iraq Oil Industry Reconstruction

Iraqi President Jalal Talabani arrived to Beijing with 40 members senior government delegation including Iraqi Oil Minister & Finance Minister etc to begin a weeklong trip to China on 20th June 2007.At the top of the agenda was to revive al-ahdab oil field China National Petroleum Corperation signed with Iraqi government at June of 1997.Until 14th March 2008,Iraqi government has already agreed that Iraq Oil Ministry can sign oil exploitations agreements with foreign companies.There were 35 companies including four Chinese companies: PETROCHINA,SINOPEC,CNOOC & SINOCHEM that were approved the qualification to attend bidding during 120 companies coming from America,Europe & Asia who have submitted the first -run related license tender document to the MOO(Ministry of Oil) of Iraq in the date from 9th January to 18th February 2008. The purpose of this action is in order to improve its oil output under the plight of slowly pending Iraq Oil Law.All of the above has offered great opportunity for Chinese oil enterprises to participate Iraq oil industry reconstruction.The Chinese oil enterprises have been hoping to establish the cooperation relationship with Iraq in the oil field with the daily bigger gap between supply & demand of petroleum,and Chinese oil enterprises do not want to miss this chance that appears,but how to grasp the opportunity to make use of Chinese advantages to compete with British & American countries? And how to deal with the external environment's impact to the reconstruction of oil industry in the field of infrastructure,economic institution,capital shortage,political reconstruction and security situation? All the above factors are of great barrier to Chinese oil enterprises.This thesis takes Chinese oil enterprises participating Iraq oil industry reconstruction as the object of study.Spontaneous company strategy theory is used to analyze Chinese oil companies's internal and external environment they will confront during the Chinese oil enterprises to participate Iraq oil reconstruction, which parses Chinese oil enterprises's opportunities & threats of outside environment, strengths & weaknesses of itself.The thesis has made general development strategy including strategy target,strategy selection suggestions,strategy implementation suggestions & other related suggestions to take part in Iraq oil industry reconstruction on the above basis.It is the conclusion at the end of this thesis.Date study method,demonstration study & inductive & deductive method are used in this thesis,and data collection,research,induction & deduction in the industry environment its confronts are also conducted for Chineses oil enterprises to participate Iraq oil industry reconstruction.The author aims at coming up with suggestions of development strategy selection & strategy implementation for participating Iraq oil industry reconstruction of Chinese oil enterprises,by learning from experiences of Chinesese oil enterprises and its own resources.
