| This paper summarizes the agriculture economic thought of the classical economists, with a purpose to form a relatively integrated system. In pandect, the author narrates the origin, the characteristics, the range of the classical economics and the developing process of the agriculture economic thought. In fact, the most important part is how to define the range of classical economics. The author uses the method of definition which is different from Marx's. The author divides the classical economics into two phases which include formation and development. On the basis of the analysis of the contribution to classical economics given by the main representatives in the two phases, the author defines the range of classical economics. After a preliminary understanding of the classical economics, the author gives a detailed description of the agriculture economic thought of the classical economists. In order to get a relatively complete theoretical system, the author shows the agriculture economic thought of the classical economists with a form of a history of thinking, using the logical structure which is different from the narrating of history, thus presenting the entire agriculture thoughts of the classical economists in a clear way. This part can be divided into four sections: the basic theory of agriculture, production and technology of agriculture, the system and the policy of agriculture. The meaning of the study is that classical economics is an important stage of the whole history of economic development, and agriculture economic thought is an important component in economic theory of classical economists. The thought is not only a theoretical foundation of the agricultural economy development of the capitalism, but also we can draw lessons from it to be of advantage to the development of today's agricultural economy. Concerning more concrete practical significance, the author will give it an exposition when positioning and commenting the agriculture economic thought of the classical economists . |
