| As an ideal model, circular economy is a global trend, and also an effective way in the sustainable development of economy and society nowadays. Since the 1960s, the viewpoint of pollution source prevention and whole process control has been substituted for the mode of pipe-end treatment. People treat environment and development equally as a mainstream of the international community. Circular economy is paid more attention by the governments from all countries. Several countries, such as Japan, Germany, USA and Denmark, have created many innovations in circular economy, and have already gained economic and social benefits.In the past few years, China has paid particular attention to resource conservation and environmental protection, and calls for policies and measures for building a resources-saving society and developing a circular economy in order to change the pattern of economic growth. Circular economy is rapidly developing in a variety of industries and scopes. Xiamen is a relatively small region with serious scarcity of resource and small environmental capacity. So, developing circular economy is of great urgency.First of all, based on theory and practice, and current status and developing trend of circular economy. This study lays emphasis on the developmental patterns, main methods and experience in the circular economy of Japanese manufacturing. Then some circular economy examples are analyzed, such as circular economy in Japanese chemical, automobile and electronics industry. The methods of developing circular economy in Japan with those situations in Xiamen are compared. Moreover, the gap for developing circular economy between Xiamen and Japan is also analyzed.Finally, this study analyzes the successful experience of Japan in supporting and ensuring the development of circular economy for manufacturing industry. The idea and the practice of development of circular economy in Japanese enterprises are sources of references. It studies the important enlightenments and useful significance from Japanese manufacturing industry. Then the study gives a preliminary design to a circular economy framework model for chemical, automobile and electronical industries in Xiamen. In the end, the study proposes some systematical strategies to help development of circular economy in Xiamen. |
