As the advance of the reform and opening up as well as the development of rural economy, more and more peasant households gradually transmit to non-agricultural areas. The pace of restructuring agriculture accelerates, and the demands for financial services grow day by day in rural areas. The reform of rural financial system has been started since 1996 in our country, and many rural financial policies have been adjusted, among which the commercialization of rural bank and the regulation of the rural cooperate funds especially make the rural credit cooperatives become the mainly only formal financial organization in rural financial market. But the ability of financial services provided by the rural credit cooperatives are very limited due to a series of problems such as government interference, regulation, historical burdens, and so on. Thus the financial demands of the peasant households can't be fully satisfied. In new times, government wishes to build the rural financing market with more efficient and perfect. Its policy will been supported by all kinds of investigate and research.. So the study of the households' financing is being must for a long time. There have been a lot of researches on rural finance done by national scholars, which lay emphasis on the existing problems and solutions in rural finance from macro level. The method of the researches is mainly normative analysis. On the contrary, positive studies from micro- level, especially from the aspects of the peasant households' financing demand are much fewer, and most researches are based on the investigation of large areas. Because of difference of the economy in our countries, choosing the village named HongTu in HuaiAn city of Jiangsu province as the swatch region and got 200 investigate questionnaire from the peasant households in the village. We select 193 of all to study the features and the factors affecting of peasant households' financing through statistical and econometric analysis between the formal financing way and the informal financing way, and then put forward some suggestions based on the conclusions. There are five chapters in this paper:Chapter 1 mainly introduces the reasons for selecting rural financing as the object of the study, defines some relevant concepts and the object studied, and gives out the purpose, the route and the method of this research. Chapter 2 gives a summary and comment on the literatures on three parts: the leading theories on rural financing market, financing behavior of peasant households, the affecting factors of the financing ways for peasant households form scholars in and out of country. Chapter 3 make a macro-analysis of the peasant households financing in the country presently, and give a detailed statement of it distinguishing between the formal and the informal financing ways. In conclusion, there are mainly three problems: first of all it has some discrepancy both the supply and the need of the quantity of the financing. Second the existing formal financing institutions don't work efficiently enough. Thirdly, the system of rural financing is short of supervisee in effect. The chapter 4 is about the case study. It make the introduction for the microfinance in the village of Hongtu and make full research for the informal and formal financing channels connecting the subjective feelings by the statistical method through the inquiry in and out of both of them. We find the formal institution helped by the microfinance satisfied part of the financing need from the peasant households, most of them is limited by the need of agricultural production seasonally. The more of need for the living financing is satisfied only by the informal financing ways. Meanwhile, we selected several factors classifying three sorts as: family feature, production feature, wealth feature. Then we make use of multi-logit model to analyze them and gained that the size of the peasant family, the amount of labor force, the level of the culture or the policy, the type of the production, the cost of the house building, the annual earning of the family affect choosing of the financing channels notably. The chapter 5 sum up the analysis and make a conclusion hereinbefore, then bring forward it that we should build a multi-developing way of rural finance system to satisfy all-levels financing need in the rural finance market.
