Taking the tradition industrial organization theory as the bare bone, this article has fully analyzed the economic efficiency, the market performance of the beer manufacturing industry and the entire industry average level in recent ten years; then it study the influence of the China's beer manufacturing industry performance by virtue of the market structure and property right structure indexes, and finally obtain the conclusion that the present performances and the factors influencing the performance of beer manufacturing industry combining the relationships between the main competition strategy of a case and industry performance, so as to bring forward the related policies and suggestions in the same breath. It is possible that this research can provide the theory basis for the government, and references for the further study of successors. The main contents of the paper are as follows:The first part of this paper is an introduction. It includes the background, the significance, the literature summary, the aim, the means, the main technology route and the innovation and the deficiency.The second part is the summary of the consumption and the production of China's beer. It mainly analyzes the general situation of China's beer production, its history of the development and the structure of the consumption and so on. Analysis shows that China's beer production has been increasing steadily since 1980s.But the speed of increasing has slowed down in recent yeas. The reason lies in these two aspects that the cost has been risen and the industry is getting very competitive. On the other hand, there are two different markets in the consumption aspects, the up-scale and the down-scale. And different regions have their own preferred kinds of beer.The third part is to research the market structure and the market product of the beer manufacturing in China. Firstly, it selects several indexes such as concentration ratio (CR), product differentiation, and the barriers to entry and withdrawal to analyze the market structure of China's beer industry, and it also explains what leads to the situation. Then it dissects the market conduct by using the price, the merger and the brand. The research shows that the CR in china's beer industry is rising gradually, but the level of product differentiation is not so high. And the high barrier of withdrawal brings about the inefficiency of the whole industry.The fourth part is to analyze the market performance of the China's beer manufacturing industry and the influence factors of the performance of the China's beer manufacturing. Firstly, it analyzes the market performance of the China's beer manufacturing industry by such aspects as the efficiency of the resources allocation, the scale structure and the technology advancement, and then it works on the influence factors through econometrics model. The result shows that the profit of China's beer manufacturing industry is rising steadily, but there are still many defective enterprises. And the influence factors including CR, the scale of the enterprise and the property right structure do good to the performance.The fifth part is to study a case. Taking Yanjing Beer as an example, it analyzes the performance level of the enterprises and the related competitive measures with the changes of the external market structure and internal property right structure, so as to provide the further supplement and proof for the foregoing analysis.The sixth part is the conclusions and the policy suggestions of this article. It is going to get related conclusion on the basis of the analysis results, and put forward the suggestions and policies accordingly.
