The large-scale metallurgical construction has some features such as strong independent character on other project, complicated engineering structure and the construction technique, constructed by many construction units and long construction period. These features render the large-scale metallurgical construction difficult to conduct effective process management. Nevertheless, the level of its process management has a great influence on the quality of the metallurgical project and the product of the business enterprise. This paper, taking the Baosteel's 1800mm Cold Rolling Engineering as an example, discussed the process management of the large-scale metallurgical construction. At first, this paper presents an overall introduction to the past and current situation of construction process control of large-scale metallurgical, and the features of large-scale metallurgical project. Some problems are noted in the large-scale metallurgical project construction schedule control and multi-optimization method. Then, this paper discussed a serials significant factor within the process of scheduling for the large-scale metallurgical project, and the Critical Paths of Baosteel's 1800mm Cold Rolling Engineering was analyzed. Checking the implement of the schedule is also a important part of schedule control, this paper introduce generalization process index and generalization process index curve to check the implement of the schedule, which can make the process controlling more macroscopically and intuitively in the large-scale metallurgical construction.. This paper presents deviation analysis methods for schedule control, analyses the causes of progress deviation as well as the relationship between investment deviation and progress deviation. At last, this paper proposed a model for process control which could be generally applied to large-scale metallurgical projects. In addition, measures including varies of the management of the large-scale metallurgical project are introduced to ensure the success of the process control model. |
