| From the late 90th of 20 century till the beginning of 2000, domestic iron and steel enterprises has started informatization construction. As the bridge connecting process automation and managing informatization, MES are also been executed in a lot of China's iron and steel enterprises. By the year of 2006, MES has been applied or has been under construction in more than 30 enterprises. It has been a trend to manage the production activities with MES. This paper aims at analyzing and studying the execution of MES in steel making plant, giving proposal and solution to the difficulties happened during the execution of MES, introducing the specific contents of MES system in steel making plant and offering a base for the execution and development of MES system in the industry field of iron and steel. The author expects to offer a few ordinary introductory remarks so that others may have their valuable ideas. The author hopes to contribute some help to the development and execution of steel making plant MES system and the informatization construction.In the first part of this paper, the author introduces and analyzes the current situation and execution of MES system in international and domestic steel enterprise, and gets the inclusion that carrying out MES system and informatization constructing are becoming kind of necessity. In the second part, the author specifies the plan and course of MES system executed in No.2 steel making plant of TISCO,analyzes the content of MES system, and offers the specific function and application range of MES system. The following part summarizes actual problems during the execution of MES system in steel making plant, giving others some little tips and assistance. Finally, this paper gives an overview about the informatization construction and MES system development in iron and steel industry. |
