An Analysis Of Freight Transportation Issue In The Bilateral Trade Between China And Sweden From The Multinational Corporations' Angle

The purpose of this thesis is to study the freight transportation between China and Sweden, from MNCs` perspectivse, and to explore the causes and to give some useful suggestions.The study is based on interviews with both Chinese MNCs and Swedish MNCs, who currently are transporting their goods between China and Sweden. Interviews were used to collect the data that later on was compared to the information collected by a literature study. The literature review adds some knowledge in relationship between MNCs and world trade. The main conclusions are as follows:The trade flows between China and Sweden are not in balance, and Chinese exports to Sweden occupy much more share than Swedish exports to China.Reliability is the key concern of the transport service for shippers interviewed. Probably this means something still needs to be improved in this field.Transportation between China and Sweden may meet some negative things from policy making and infrastructure construction.
