Ninghong tea is one of the most famous Congous, it was produced from Ninghong region of northwest of Jiangxi Province ,it had an important place in the tea exportation trade of our coutry and had a high reputation in the international market. This paper study the case of modern Xiushui Ninghong tea and discuss the relationship between tea and society. The paper discuss three parts:the first part discuss the survey of the development of the Xiushui Ninghong tea from the advantage in geography of Xiushui Ninghong region, the historical origins and location of production, manufacturing methods and characteristic.the second part discuss the tea and social economy of modern Xiushui.As an important economic crop,the Ninghong tea bring the important income for the Xiushui social economy,it is a mainstay of the Xiushui social economy.it is also the major source of tea exportation trade of Jiujiang tea's market, it had an important place in the tea exportation trade of Jiujiang tea's market and support the jiujiang tea's market.the third part discuss the tea and social life of modern Xiushui.the tea is the major source of people's income,it greatly enrich social life of Xiushui people and bring a prosperous culture of tea.From the discussion,we can come to a conclusion, Ninghong tea playd an important role in the social economy, life and culture in modern Xiushui.from the study on the case of modern Xiushui Ninghong tea,we are perspective the relationship between tea and society and the change of the development of tea in modern Jiangxi and China.moreover,it is some of apocalypse to the similar tea region.
