Research On The Foreign Low Cost Carriers Pattern And Reference

The year of 2005 was an important turning year. Non-public-owned capital was the first to be permitted to enter airlines industry. In 2005, there were three airlines-Spring airlines, Okay Airway and UE Air, were set up successively. After these, there were also some private-owned airlines operated. During the development of below 2 years, Spring airlines were being paid attention to among these private-owned airlines. It gained 30 million for profit in 2006. At the same time, some large-scale airlines had bad performance and lost much money. The success of Spring airlines is due to its choice of operational model-the low cost operational model. Spring airlines is not only one of the first private-owned airlines in Chinese history of airlines industry, but also the first low cost airlines in Chinese history of airlines industry.Although the low cost carrier was just built in china in 2005, this word-low cost airlines isn't a new one in world. As far as the year of 1971, the originator of low cost airlines, Southwest airlines, ran. Up to now, a great many of airlines have been built.Beforetime, many scholars analyzed low cost airlines from aspect of theory and practice on the basis of oversea low cost airlines. They didn't analyze low cost airlines according to the environment of China. As we are facing the large market in China airlines industry, it is urgent to analyze low cost airlines in light of China environment and with reference to oversea famous low cost airlines. This thesis tries to make innovation from this aspect.This thesis studies Chinese low cost airlines from following several points. Firstly, I demonstrate that the feasibility of low cost airlines in China thought the summary of the development of Chinese private-owned economy and the analysis of Chinese airlines industry. Secondly, I sum up the characters of Southwest airlines. Thirdly, I analyze the features of Spring airlines in terms of learning Southwest airlines and on the basis of the condition of China. Fourthly, the comparisons among Spring airlines and other airlines argue that the succeed of the operational model in Spring airlines. At the end, by SWOT, the thesis provides some further advices for Spring airlines systemically.
