Research On The Development Of Agricultural Products Export In China

As from reforming and opening up to the outside world, especially after China entering WTO(world trade organization) in 2001, in the last 3 decades, the export trade in China has been developed constantly, the export trade volume has reached 969.08 billion US dollars, increased by 27.2% in comparison with the same period of before. At the same time, the agricultural products export has got an unprecedent change, especially in trade partners ,trade market centrality, quality and structure of export. China agricultural products increased rapidly in 2006, the export volume of agricultural products reached 31.03 billion US dollars, increased by 14.1% in comparison with the same period of before. The export of agricultural products has reached a high level. In the past 11 years, the agricultural export has been contributing about 3% to the world level, which is a lower level. However, some problems still exist in our agricultural enterprises, such as small scale, unperfect quality, and low processing level, and so on.We can not face the challenge and win in the world agricultural trade competition unless we investigate the major facors that affect China's agricultural export trade.This paper the actuality of world agriculture export trade as background, and bases on"the crisis of home and abroad"of Chinese agricultural export trade, by the systems analysis to development advantages of Chinese agricultural export trade and exiting problems, choosing export results of 2002-2005 as research object,combining the characteristics of agricultural export trade to construct its gravitation model. Using panel data analyze the main factors that effecting chinese agrictural export trade.At last, chieving the belowed conclusion:Firstly, State owned enterprise contributes comparativly less to China export, Joint venture is the main force, and private enterprise's contribution is increasing rapidly.Secondly, the scale of china agricultural product is enlarging constantly, but the major markets of export still focus on the nearer area and countries, where GDP(gross domestic product) is comparativly larger and belongs to which the countries and area of the same organization.Thirdly,the fluctuation of exchange rate in international market affect indirectly China's agricultural product trade faintish, the effect that China's enconomic scales and population changing on agricultural export trade is not distinct.The increasing of GDP and population in imported country and area can increase the local demand to agricultural product. And to some extent, promote its export. Lastly, combining the positive analysing results, concerning the existing problems which relate to the development of agricultural export, presenting the corresponding projects.
