Research On The Manufacturing Industry Structure Evolution Of Jilin Province

Manufacturing Industry plays a significant role in a country's economic development. It is definitely the foundation of both economic development and competitiveness increases. The adjustment of economic structure is a forever subject of economic development. Have clear understanding of manufacturing industry of Jilin province and make further research is not only a high priority problem need to be solved but also a long term strategy task for the whole society. In order to switch from old manufacturing industry base into a new, developing modern manufacturing industry should be the focus of industry strategy, and at the same time speed up the evolution of manufacturing industry structure.It is obvious that some manufacturing industry production have to be revised as the external demand declines in this financial crisis; on the other hand, a new global manufacturing industry layout will be rose as the western manufacturing industry swiftly transfer some of their business units to Asian emerging markets which will definitely accelerate the evolution of emerging markets'industry structure. As a significant old manufacturing base of north-east China, Jilin manufacturing industry is facing both opportunity and challenge.This dissertation applied industry evolution theory to systematic manufacturing industry evolution research. We can know that manufacturing industry development and structure evolution can be demonstrated by consecutive declines of labor intensive industry percentage whereas increasing coverage of capital and technology intensive industry like equipment, electronic, telecommunication, and instrument meters industry and at the same time, high-tech product should be the high priority and majority segment. There are internal and external factors that will affect the manufacturing industry structure. The external factors are consisted of marketing environment, resource, government policy and foreign investment. In terms of internal factors, it can be attribute to technology and management inside the enterprise.Base on analyzing the tract of industrial structure and economic development of Jilin, the collectivity evaluation of industrial structure of Jilin which displays some features of Jilin's manufacturing industry is made out. It turned out that Jilin shows decline in manufacturing increase scale, among those manufacturing industry, capital-intensive industry make a process, shows high level of structure, whereas labor-intensive industry development space slow down, and particularly, technology-intensive industry ranks the button in level of industry structure, shows poor performance in economic. In terms of quantitative analysis, a Grey dynamic linear programming model is built in the last chapter to make precise prediction for Jilin's coming 3 years target of industry structure which effectively solve the problem of difficulty in doing programming in future, and puts forward some suggestions from angles of theory and practice.In order to accelerate the development of Jilin manufacturing industry structure, both government and companies should work together to make great progress. New technology and policy should be available to upgrade the industry structure. While have international collaboration improved, we must firmly commit new industrialized path and develop competitive industry assemble.
