Study On Problems Of Quality And Safety Of Agricultural Products On The Viewpoint Of Small-scale Peasant Economy Characteristics

As China's agriculture changes from quantity-increasing type to quality-benefit Type, improving the quality and safety standards of agricultural products, protecting the health of urban and rural residents, and enhancing competitiveness of agricultural products in the international markets, is becoming an important task of agriculture and rural work. Under the background of China's agriculture entering a new stage of economic development, this paper discussed the content of the quality and safety of agricultural products, summed up the status quo of quality and safety of agricultural products, the existing problems and their causes; based on the characteristics of small-scale peasant economy, the paper analyzed the facts that impacting on the supply of safe agricultural products and the behavior choice of farmers in the supply of safe agricultural products. After pointing out that in situation of the market failure and government failure, it is reasonable for farmers to supply non-safety agricultural products, the paper put forward suggestions to promote the level of quality and safety agricultural products from improving the farmers' organization degree, establishing the traceability in quality and safety of agricultural products and strengthening market systems building, etc.
