| Using informetric methods, the author analyzed the patentees' h-indices. Choosing 2008 world top 100 enterprises which published by magazine as an object of the study, the author used the DII database from ISI Web of Knowledge to search the patentees' number of patent, patent cited number and h-index of the world top 100 enterprises from 2003 to 2007. Then calculated CII(Current Impact Index) and TS(Technological Strength)of the world top 100 enterprises. Using SPSS statistical software, the author made a penetrating judgment of the relationship among the patentees' h-index, patent cited number, turnovers of the year and technological strength. Correlation analysis, regression analysis and other statistical methods were used to get conclusion. Meanwhile, in order to analyze the economic level of the countries which own the enterprises in world top 100 enterprises, the author combined qualitative and quantitative methods tighter. This paper could provide a reference for patent analysis.In the paper, the author summed up the current achievements of h-index research such as origination, development, theory models and practice research. And then, from the macro perspective, analyzed the correlation among the h-index and other patentometrics indices in the world top 100 enterprises' patentee. Then, the author analyzed the correlation among the h-index and other patentometrics indices in different industry filed. In chapter 5, the author compared the patentees' h-index and technological strength, summarized the advantages and disadvantages of the h-index. Finally, the author researched the relationship between the h-index and the economic level of the countries, and found that there is a positive correlation between these factors.The innovations of this paper focus on the correlations among the h-index and other patentometric indices while the patentees' h-indices and technological strength are compared, which established the foundations for the application of h-index in patentometrics. |
