Study On The Regional Differences Of Technological Innovation Capacity Of Information Manufacturing Industry In China

Information manufacturing industry has an important role in manufacturing-led China. There are vast territory and different levels of economic development level in China. It is particularly important to study on regional differences of technological innovation capacity in China. On the basis of overall analysis of the status of technological innovation capacity of information manufacturing industry, this article empirically study on the regional differences of technological innovation capacity of information manufacturing industry from 1999 to 2007 in China, and further analyze and discuss the regional differences of three major economic circles of China, through constructing of integrated technology innovation capacity index system of information manufacturing industry. The results show that: Firstly, according to the results of data analysis, we can preliminarily divided information manufacturing industry of our country into five grades based on the gradient difference of innovational capacity. The gap between different grades becomes bigger as the intensity of grade increases, the grades of all the provinces and cities is more or less like the distribution of pyramid; secondly, the article dynamically analyzes the developmental trajectory of technological innovation capacity of information manufacturing industry in 31 provinces and municipalities of China in recent 10 years from a time dimension, of which more than 1/5 provinces and cities have a upward trend in technological innovation capacity of information manufacturing industry, more than 1/4 provinces and cities are relatively stable, less than 1/3 provinces and cities have a declined trend, while the remaining provinces and cities is irregularly fluctuant; Thirdly, the results show that, among the three major economic circles the economic circle of Changjiang Delta has the strongest innovation capacity of information manufacturing industry, and its technological innovation capacity of information manufacturing is increasing in recent 10 years. The economic circle of Zhujiang Delta ranks second in terms of innovation capacity of information manufacturing industry and have a stable tendency. The Surrounding PoHai Sea economic circle ranks last and its innovation capacity declines to some extent; Finally, this article gives some corresponding countermeasures according to the grades of 31 provinces and cities and the three major economic circles, in order to enhance the technological innovation capacity of information manufacturing industry and promote coordinated development of regional economies in China.
