With the recent outbreak of ecological disasters and ethical crises regarding products all over the world and the rise of the producer regulation campaign of MNCs, the conception of corporate social responsibility (CSR) is spread widely. Export enterprises in China are faced with severer surveillance related to environment and ethic. Some of them even suffered withdrawing of orders due to failing to cope with producer regulations of MNCs, being exposed to huge economic expenses. The theory of strategic corporate social responsibility holds that when introducing some form of corporate social responsibility , firms could obtain advantages on their competitive environment.Therefore, the study of how domestic export enterprises improve their responsible competitiveness via implementing strategic corporate social responsibility has great theoretical value and reality significance.This paper firstly adopted the method of historical analyse to review literatures with regard to competitiveness advantage and (strategic ) corporate social responsibility, then combined with various theories , provides various theoretical explanations about how CSR can influences economical performance of enterprises. Former papers indicate that there are ambiguous relationship between CSR and short-term performance of companies. However the positive relationship is relatively notable between CSR and long-term performance of companies. The paper gave some brief explanation regarding this phenomena.Subsequently this paper analyzed inner and exterior causes why Chinese export enterprises bring up against CSR tariff frequently by methods of induction and deduction, then summarize the main forms of CSR tariff export enterprises have encountered, and put this issue into the WTO framework to analyze, argued that nowadays the so-called CSR tariff actually lingers in the gray zone of international economic laws, lacking sufficient legal foundation. The strategic maneuvers which domestic companies take to break through the CSR tariff are still the beginning, approaches taken are still simply.The dissertation then employed the method of modelling to establish a strategic CSR model of export companies with CSR product differentiation,and briefly analyses that faced with foreign importers with uncertain CSR inclination ,how local exporters improve their demand conditions and competitive advantages to maximizing their estimated utilities via implementing strategic CSR. We draw a conclusion that with asymmetric information, export enterprises usually would like to undertake strict CSR certifications actively, and devote substantial endeavor into their CSR activities. Finally the paper brought forward some policy suggestions to step up responsibility competitiveness of exporters, and boost their activitses of CSR on the base of dissertation before-mentioned.
