Research On The Economic Development Of HongKong, Taiwan And Singapore: From The Perspective Of Ethnic Chinese Business Networks In East Asia

This paper is titled On the Economic Development of HongKong,Taiwan and Singapore: From the Perspective of Ethnic Chinese Business Networks in East Asia.There are two traditional approaches to the study of ethnic Chinese business networks,the political and historical ones. In this paper,the author adds the economic approach to the above ones. Besides,the author choses HongKong,Taiwan and Singapore as the objectives,in order to figure out the relations between their economic development and ethnic Chinese business networks.There are three parts in this paper: the introduction,the subject and the ending part. The outline of the subject is as follow:Chapter two is titled The Overview of Ethnic Chinese Business Networks in East Asia. It's mainly about the developing process of ethnic Chinese business networks in east asia, particularly in HongKong,Taiwan and Singapore.Chapter three is titled Singapore's Economic Development and Ethnic Chinese Business Networks in East Asia. To illustrate the relations between the two, the author inspects into Singapore's trade and investment both in horizontal and longitudinal way.Chapter four is titled HongKong's Economic Development and Ethnic Chinese Business Networks in East Asia. The author analyses HongKong's trade and investment by periods,and its transit trade is the highlight.Chapter five is titled Taiwan's Economic Development and Ethnic Chinese Business Networks in East Asia,which is also about the trade and investment. The traits of Taiwan's economy is stressed.Last, the relations between ethnic Chinese business networks and each economy are emphasized in the end of each chapter.
