State-owned commercial banks have huge human resources, material resources and financial resources, as well as policy support. The status quo of China's banking industry is that its intermediate business income ratio is significantly less than its foreign counterparts. With the opening up of China's banking sector, simply relying on making profits on the savings and loan business is no longer adaptive to the status quo. We should vigorously develop intermediate business, and one important way is to rely on existing advantages to find the breakthrough of development and innovation. Through comparing with the market competitiveness of domestic banks' intermediate business, this paper tries to find the innovation points of intermediate business from the rapid development of e-commerce in current society.First, this paper outlines intermediate business' concept, characteristics and classification as well as the important significance for China's commercial banks to develop intermediate business. Moreover, based on this, the purpose for studying the development of intermediate business is introduced, and it is pointed that the innovation of intermediate business has a realistic guiding significance for the development of China's commercial banks.Second, this paper has an in-depth analysis of the development trend of bank's intermediate business, and demonstrates the significance of developing intermediate business on state-owned commercial banks from many aspects. This paper conducts a detailed analysis of the intermediate business market of domestic banks, and proposes three characteristics of current intermediate business: 1. Meeting customer requirements; 2. Rapid response to market; 3. the use of virtual technology. Then, it analyzes the advantages and disadvantages of state-owned commercial banks and foreign banks at current stage respectively.Third, In terms of the analysis from the prospective of the power for promoting business innovation, state-owned commercial banks should actively develop e-commerce as a core competitive edge, and use e-commerce to develop and improve the modern intermediate business products for bank's competitiveness and development. It also studies China's e-commerce development's status quo and main problems encountered.Finally, this paper proposes an overall concept how China's commercial banks to use e-commerce to develop intermediate business, which also includes the development methods that China's commercial banks use towards enterprises and individuals.
