The purpose of this study is to study the efficiency of pesticide manufacturing industry. First use China's pesticide manufacturing sector 1998-2006 inter-provincial panel data to static view of the efficiency of pesticide manufacturing various provinces in China in 1998-2006 , on the basis , analysis efficiency of different types, different sizes of pesticide manufacturing enterprise . Second, through non-parametric method Malmquist productivity for dynamic analysis of pesticide manufacturing of 1998-2006 productivity changes in the situation. Then, followed by two-step Tobit analysis such as industrial clustering, and capital - labor ratio (K / L), technical equipment, industrial scale, enterprise management level, the purchasing price of fuel Pesticides effect on pesticide manufacturing technical efficiency. Finally, on the basis of the analysis of the efficiency , use multiple linear regression model analysis the changes pesticide manufacturing efficiency effect on pesticide price. Following is main conclusions of this study.China's pesticide manufacturing efficiency level imbalances in the distribution among the provinces. At the regional distribution, from a technical efficiency absolute terms, east and west higher than the central, but the dynamic development of the three major regions showed a rising trend; From the different types of economic, technical efficiency of state-owned enterprises is in lowest level and private enterprises is in the relatively high level; efficiency of the scale of small and medium enterprises more efficient than the technology medium-sized enterprises, medium-sized enterprises is more efficiency than large enterprises, but in 2004-2006, the medium-sized manufacturing enterprises pesticide technology efficiency than the efficiency of small and medium enterprises, it shows that in the pesticide manufacturing industry, the economies of scale start gradually becoming apparent.Measurement of changes in China's pesticide manufacturing productivity shows that China's pesticide manufacturing during 1998-2006 total factor productivity is growing at a rate of 9.6%, the technical efficiency decline at an average annual rate of 4.1%, technological progress while average rising at a rate of 14.2%, due to the role of technological progress more obvious, which makes China pesticide manufacturing total factor productivity growth is positive. And the main role support China's three major areas of pesticide manufacturing growth is technological progress.In The study of factors affecting pesticide manufacturing efficiency, the concentration of pesticide manufacturing industry and enterprise management level of pesticide manufacturing efficiency of the technology have a significant positive impact; Other factors, such as the ratio of working capital, technical equipment, industry scale, the purchasing price of fuel pesticide manufacturing technology for the efficiency of the negative.Through multivariate regression model analysis the factors of price of pesticide manufacturing, concluded the price of grain, fuel prices, pesticide production, crop acreage on the prices of pesticides have positive impact; The efficiency of pesticide manufacturing have negative impact to pesticide prices. |
