With the fast development of steel industry in China, Chinese steel corporations have fundamentally realized scale expansion and are faced with challenge from technology advancement. Technology advancement is essential to strengthen core competence, and it is crucial to build a high-level technology talents team.Tianjin Steel Company Ltd has realized technology equipment upgrade and become one of the most advance technology level in China during the eastern shift of Tianjin industry. Under this circumstance, how to heighten and maintain core competence via technology talents team building has become more and more urgent.Compared to steel corporations in developed countries, technology talent team lacks a lot in such aspects as scale, level and structure. Tianjin Steel Company Ltd has to make great efforts in the followings aspects: the structure system of technology talent team, absorb and development mechanism, incentive and assessment measure in order to build a favorable environment.Tianjin Steel Company Ltd should strengthen knowledge sharing mechanism based on the current technology center as well as technology committee, absorb and cultivate first-class technology talents to accelerate technology innovation, and taking input-output effectiveness as the most important index in incentive and assessment system.
