Study On The Intensive Development Of Recreation Tourism In Beijing On The Condition Of Tourism Demand Conversion

With the rapid development of economy in China, standard of living of people has improved at large, the level of consumption and conception has changed in different extent. In the view of tourism demand and supply, at present, tourism in China is in the demand conversion stage, which is from sightseeing mainly to recreation tourism with diversification and special type tourism with individuation. In the middle years of 1990s, recreation tourism began to develop rapidly in Beijing, the capital of the People Republic of China, tourism plays a very important role in the development of country economy and social development. Moreover, Beijing, one of the metropolises in China, recreation tourism in Beijing also becomes the epitome of the metropolis. Thus, the issue of the tourism demand conversion is nowadays being gradually concerned by specialists in the tourism and the academic field. The systematic study on the issue of tourism demand conversion is still scarce, and intensive development of tourism doesn't exist yet in China. Especially on the background of the tourism demand conversion, the study on the intensive development of tourism is still blank. Consequently, the study on the intensive development of recreation tourism in Beijing under the tourism demand conversion has great impact on both theory and practice.This paper mainly makes a study on two following aspects: One is that it takes Beijing for example to research the issue of tourism demand conversion, based on putting forward and discuss the conception of tourism demand conversion and tourism intensive development tentatively, and stresses on four formats of tourism demand conversion in Beijing, namely change of tourism product supply spectrum, change of citizen income, change of consumption structure and institution. The other is that with the help of research on the spot and literature and comparative research, it makes a study on intensive development of recreation tourism in Beijing on the background of tourism demand conversion tourism demand conversion. Firstly, analyzes and discuss the inevitability of intensive development of recreation tourism in Beijing. Secondly, discuss the index to evaluate intensive development of recreation tourism on Beijing, takes the resource use efficiency and resource use benefit as the first index, and capacity and benefit on land resource and water resource per unit as the second index. Moreover, makes a demonstration on golf, ski, theme park and vocation village tourism in Beijing from resource use efficiency and resource use benefit by those indexes, then picks up some provinces and cities in China, some developed countries which are good at recreation tourism and compares to Beijing, concludes that the degree of intensive development of recreation tourism in Beijing has a disparity with the area studied. Finally, points out the main problems in the intensive development process of recreation tourism in Beijing, and advances the policies and measures that will promote the intensive development of recreation tourism in Beijing.
