Empirical Studies Of The Technical Spillover Effect By FDI In Jiangsu

Due to the incompletion in the technique market and expensive transaction cost, a great deal of advanced technique cannot be obtained through external market.The technical spillover effects are taken as the main channel to obtain multinational's techniques.Being the primary pattern of the flowage of international capital,its technology spillover effect on the host country has attracted more and more concerns of both theoretical field and governments.Jiangsu Province is one of the major provinces which attract FDI,and the FDI has made important contributions to the economic operation and development.After getting the FDI,how speeding up to develop jiangsu's own technology has become the strategic subject. But previous empirical research shows the spillover effects of FDI in different countries or regions vary considerably, in some countries or regions have even negative spillover effects.Because Jiangsu Provinc is the major province attracting FDI,the research of technology spillover effect and the factors of FDI in jiangsu has become particularly important. It has the important theory meaning and realistic value to research the technical spillover of fdi in Jiangsu.The paper first reviews and combs the classical foreign capital technology spillover theories and the related empirical articles about FDI technical spillover effect.And on the basis of analyzing the route and influence factor that FDI technology overflows,the paper reviewed the history that Jiangsu Province brings fdi,and summarized the characteristic.The paper combines the actual conditions that the industrial department of Jiangsu Province brings the fdi over the years,I use Feder model, compare with Shanghai at first,and carried on the real example and analyzed the spillovers of technology in Jiangsu Province.The result shows:the technology spillover effects in jiangsu is not obvious.The quality of foreign capitals,capital of manpower and economic opening are the main factors that effect the technology spillover of the fdi.Subsequently the dissertation analyzes FDI technical spillover effect by industrial sector in Jiangsu province. The result shows that there is significant sectoral technical spillover effect of the foreign investments in Jiangsu province.By further analysis, the technical gap is the main influence factors which affects the technical spillover effect within the industrial sector. In the end, referring to the empirical results, the dissertation put forward corresponding policy suggestions with aim to improve the local enterprises' capacity of technology and independent research, create a favorable personnel system and entrepreneurial environment, optimize the industrial structure,nurture the effective market competition mechanism and enhance the level of infrastructure.
