Development Of E-Banking Usability Guidelines

With the development of finance and internet technology,the advantages of E-Banking,more and more users try to experience E-banking.However,People are not satisfied with the services,besides safety,usability is one of the important factors affecting user experience.Therefore,it is necessary to improve user experience of the E-Banking services by improving the usability of its services.The key of improve user experience is the design of Personal E-Banking.we should provide Personal E-Banking usability guidelines to the designers.We divide the guidelines development into four stages:Stage one:literature research.Based on the analysis of usability studies of E-Banking services abroad,and the mastery of the development about usability guidelines,we confirm the development of Personal E-Banking usability guidelines: evaluation the usability of current Personal E-Banking services,establishment guidelines,and certification guidelines.Stage two:Usability evaluation.We do heuristic evaluation and testing of ICBC, CMB and SPD.The usability questions focus on navigation,information content and presentation,layout,tip and feedback,function.Stage three:Establish guidelines.We analyze the website general usability guidelines and the framework of E-Banking user experience evaluation system,and based on the data which found in phase two,we establish the guidelines which Including Homepage,navigation,tips and feedback forms and the list,content,functions.Stage four:Validate guidelines.After designer use the guideline to establish the Personal E-banking paper prototypes and user evaluate the prototypes,we add information structure into guidelines.Based on the improved guidelines,we established high-fidelity prototype and testing,then validate guidelines is comprehensive and effective.In this thesis,we conducts an exploratory study on domestic personal E-banking usability guidelines.Research results indicate the feasibility of usability and ucd method. The methods and productions used in this study can be effectively applied to the usability study and development of Personal E-Banking.Therefore,the paper has some significance in improving the user experience and promoting the development of Personal E-Banking in china.
