Case Study On The Pull Production Planning Method Application In Schick (GZ) Ltd.,

The object of this study is production planning activities in the core enterprise of push supply chain. Based on the detailed description of the differences between push and pull process, the author analyzes several occasions suitable for push process and the typical marks showed in the core enterprise. Other main points such as the formulating process of a production plan, the implementation strategies, common problems and the solutions are also discussed in the paper.Based on the characteristic of push supply chain, the characteristic of JIT (Just in Time) operation method, the application to production planning and control with JIT concept and the system integration of MRPII & JIT are discussed and analyzed in the paper.A typical enterprise under push model as Schick (GZ) Ltd.,is selected as illustrations. A case study is carried out about JIT implementation in Schick (GZ) Ltd.,. Comparing the result after the implementation with before, it shows the performance of overall production planning and control system is improved by reducing WIP inventory and shortening production leading time. Also some improvement areas are highlighted with suggestion for further improvement. Finally the current situation of production planning and control system after MRPII & JIT integration is introduced.
