Research On Construction Project Management Of Shidai International Center

By now, project management has been widely practiced in all trades of the society, especially in real estate development, where it has been playing as an important method to ensure building quality and realize maximization of economic benefits. Real estate development has undergone more than ten years in our country, yet there still exist the problem of stressing market planning while underestimating process management. In a market where competition is more and more fierce, what the development side and the construction side both concern is how to efficiently improve the management level in the process of real estate development and how to improve the competitiveness of enterprisers to ensure that the real estate companies can get long development under the circumstances of macro-regulation policies and the changing market demand.The purpose and meaning of the paper is to illustrate how to scientifically and effectively manage the engineering of real estate development projects with project management thought and in such a mode, and tries to solve some prominent problems in the current management of construction project. Combining domestic and overseas development background of project management with the practical situation of the current development and construction of real estate in our country, the paper takes Shidai International Center as the study object, applies theories of project management, and use advanced experience of project management of international construction engineering to expound the details. It strives to set a successful model for management of real estate development project, and also provide some reference for general project management, which bears specific application value.Combining construction management practice of Shidai International Center, the paper systematically expounds relevant project management theories and advanced experience of international modern construction management. It studies prominent problems existing in current project management from several aspects like definition of the management scope, organizational structure of project management, management and control of project progress, management and control of project quality, management and control of project cost, and that of project security etc, from which a simple, practicable and effective management model is summarized.The project involved in this paper is the first-phase engineering of Shidai International Center, whose success or failure concerns the image of the whole Shidai International Project. Confronted with a large amount of engineering, a tight schedule and high requirements for management of the whole construction process, the attention has been paid on how to combine the international modern management theories with management practice, and how to integrate schedule management, quality management and cost management into a unity, instead of attending to one side while neglecting another. It is also the crux that shall be studied and solved in this paper.
