Urban Agglomeration, which is the a regional spatial organization all over the world, will become the main urban area development pattern in China as a result of China's high-speed economic growth and rapid urbanization .The urban agglomeration on the Western Coast of the Taiwan Straits is emerging urban agglomeration southeast coastal with rapid development, which, a strong potential for development, is an important traffic hub and an important gateway to cooperation of Taiwan with unique geographical location and good economic fundamentals.This paper uses urban geography, regional economics, development economics, urban economics, and other subjects of the theory and methodology, and refers to the latest theoretical research results and practical experience of urban agglomerations at home and abroad ,to researchthe urban agglomeration on the Western Coast of the Taiwan Straits and make future development plansThis paper is divided into eight chapters to discuss economic development group status, city size grading system, industrial layout, space structure, transport network and other issues in the urban agglomeration on the Western Coast of the Taiwan Straits.The following areas has been systematically studied:(1) Analysis the background, the development status, regional competitiveness.(2) Calculate "urban flow" and the city structure indicators ,draw the hierarchy system and the scale system.and made recommendations.(3)Research the distribution of productive forces to determine city functions, and tooptimize the proposal.(4) Discuss the spatial structure and urban-traffic system... |
