Therefore, to make follow up study on urban agriculture to ancient Xi'an has not only the practical significance, but also has the value for application.This article first summed up the concept , the feature, the function and the classification of urban agriculture, summed up the experiences from the urban agricultural development at home and abroad, provide reference for Xi'an urban agriculture. Then analysis to the Xi'an urban agricultural development, grasp the context, infrastructure, constraints, opportunities and options industry of the Xi'an urban agriculture development. On this basis, has been selected for the evaluation index evaluating indicators system, and had further quantitative evaluation for Xi'an urban agricultural development, concluded that Xi'an urban agricultural development is still in the construction phase. Then research on the model of Xi'an urban agricultural development, after contrast with the mode of development at home and abroad, identified the model of Xi'an urban agricultural development.
