The changes in competition, improvement of technology and consumers' need lead to a constant development of competition mode. We can learn from TOC theory and enterprise bottleneck management method, the supply chain can be regarded as a network system which is consisted of a series of internal connective activities. Its whole time optimization depends on the weak link of numbers, that is the "Time Bottleneck" on the supply chain. To optimize response time of the supply chain should begin with its weakest link, so as to get an obvious improvement. Therefore, in order to shorten the response period of the whole supply chain, we should find out the time bottleneck existing in the supply chain, analyze its forming reasons, eliminate the time bottleneck and form a constantly circling and improving statement.This article has studied the time bottleneck problem of TBC of the supply chain systematically. The specific content is as follows:First, this article studied the general response period of supply chain based on Meta picture theory, and stated the features and effective factors of general period of supply chain.Second, this paper have the study of time bottleneck of the supply chain and its recognition method. First, combined with TOC theory, the article analyzed the rising of the time bottleneck problem, the concept, the manifestation and the reasons. Then it construct materials flowing process model of the supply chain product, and gave the recognition method of time bottleneck by using transfer probability. After that, it listed a simulation example. Lastly, it put a computational method of supply chain response period based on the materials flowing process model.Then, the compression strategy for stay probability and transfer probability of time bottleneck in internal supply chain enterprises and among these enterprises are given. The main reason for the big probability is the operation problem in enterprises, but the transfer probability is the reflection of every node enterprise about operation. This part deeply analyzed the following aspects, from processing batch, dispatch optimization, logistics facility layout, material supply in the internal of the enterprise, to the structure restoration of the supply chain, knowledge sharing of TBC of the supply chain in every enterprise of supply chain system as well as the information system and information sharing of TBC. The article has given a pointed and constructive time compression strategy for each aspect.At last, the evaluation of the effect of time bottleneck extermination is researched. First, it described the basic premise and feature of quick response ability, and elaborated the distinctive condition of the best quick response ability. Then, it explained the evaluation method of quick response ability. Based on this method, by using the changing rate of quick response ability of the supply chain, the article stated the method of time bottleneck extermination effect evaluation.
