With the enlargement of import and export, international business in banks develops very quickly, and the international settlement ways become more and more complicated. Then banks face more and more international settlement risks, which requires more international settlement employees to put emphasis on international settlement risks, study connotation and theory of banking risk management.People pay more attention to the effect of international settlement because it as a bridge links the international economic trade well. It involves several nations, enterprises and banks in international settlement business, so the time spending in accomplishing the whole business is longer. This leads the emergence of a large variety of influence factors which will bring kinds of risks during the operating. Currently, scholars' research of the risk in international settlement is primarily about the international settlement ways, which produce certain ways of risk analysis and risk protection, but put little emphasis on international settlement risks. So I choose JT bank, xi'an branch's international settlement risk as research object. During the research, I use comparing ways and other ways to analyses risk management of international settlement, and try to find ways to reduce international settlement risk. this thesis try to analyze international settlement risks , especially the way of letter of credit, from the point of country risk, credit risk, document risk, marketing risk, legal risk, and fraud risk , to provide theoretical analyze basis for international settlement risk, and at the same time it is useful to reduce or prevent international settlement risks.
