This paper tries to use knowledge of management from the following areas to discuss what strategy should Nokia Siemens Network be adopted in the TD-SCDMA. Nokia's Networks and Siemens Communications Group were the two giant vendors in telecommunication field. On June 19, 2006, Nokia and Siemens issued a joint statement, and agreed merge of Nokia's network and Siemens Communications Group, and the new company's name is tentatively scheduled for Nokia Siemens Network. TD-SCDMA in China has grown rapidly, and it is now the only large-scale deployment of 3G networks in China.This paper summarizes the TD-SCDMA current status in China; analyzes the significance of TD-SCDMA to China and the Chinese government's determination to TD-SCDMA; inferred TD-SCDMA position in China. In the paper, growth curve method also has been applied to simulate TD-SCDMA users' scale in the next few years to get the conclusion that TD-SCDMA in China is a huge potential market. By summing up Nokia and Siemens in the TD-SCDMA history, analyzing Nokia Siemens competitive environment, analyzing Nokia Siemens revenue and the current situation of market share via data, Nokia Siemens Network needs new business as a growth point to maintain revenue growth and market share consolidation. By analyzing the internal and external environment of Nokia Siemens Network, inferred TD-SCDMA is the new business growth opportunities for Nokia Siemens Network. Finally conclusion is that Nokia Siemens Network should seize TD-SCDMA development opportunities in China; the company attaches high importance to the promotion of TD-SCDMA; from the total solutions establishment of product development, marketing, and after-sale service, thus expanding Nokia Siemens Network 3G market and the consolidation 2G market in China.
