The Chairman Molly worked in Washington public stratagem estimate department thinks, tourism will become the next economic tide and roll up all the world. With the economy fast development and leisure time increasing, more and more people pursuer higher quality lives. The recreation travel becomes one of the initial choices to satisfy various needs for modern people. In Asian travel BOAO forum, the director of Beijing university tour development and programming study center,WTO consultation expert Doctor Wu said, Chinese tourism is crossing over form entry-level sightseeing type to high class holiday type, the tourism industry is facing transformation period.However, facing the rapid economic and social transformation, the pace of tourism tranformation was too slow, scholars also have not make a systematic research in this level.This thesis takes the leisure development as a background, and analysis the status and charactersitics of tourism products transformation, in order to provide a reference for our country tourism industry.On the one hand, the dissertation summary each characteristic in different stage about our country tourism to get out the result that the tourism faces transformation and recreation travel start to develop. On the other hand, this thesis takes GuiLin tour product transformation as a example to tally up some characteristics and get some apocalypses about recreation travel.In theoretical study, the thesis made use of related leisure theory,the need theory in consumption behavior learning and tourism supply and demand theory, in order to analyze the background of tourism development and factors of economy,society,need and so on. Then, the thesis makes use of the motive system of the tourism development to set up a motive model of tour product transformation, in order to make a deeper analysis in motive factors of the product transformation.In the case study, the author went to many spots in GuiLin in order to know about the current state of tourism development , and take depth interviews with spots staff to get more messengers about GuiLin tourism. Based on literature, we can see that sightseeing tourism and recreation travel are at the same time in nowdays in GuiLin. On the other hand, we take a deeper-level analysis the forces and ways that driving the tourism products transformation. Because GuiLin is the barometer of our country tourism, it has very representative and influence in the whole tourism. So the characteristics,mode of recreation travel in GuiLin has important apocalypse function to our whole tourism. Meanwhile, it can provide a certain instruction function for recreation travel development in owe flourishing region.Based on the theoretical and case study, the paper draws the following conclusions: First, when the economic and social develop to a certain stage, tourism products transformation is inevitable. Second, form sightseeing travel to leisure travel needs a transition period; Third, leisure travel products should be develop in the direction of diversification; Fourth, tourism products transformation is driven by the multi-factor.
