Films and television programs are widely and deeply influencing our daily life nowadays. For many people, the distribution of the beautiful scenery and the local conditions and customs in the films and programs are providing the material and spiritual enjoyment. Also people are attracted to travel there.All through these years, numerous excellent films and TV programs have led the vogue of traveling to the shooting place.The research tries to study the influences on traveling by the programs in a broad way. Based on it, we can use the programs to develop the traveling industry much more effectively. The research methods include literature review, quantitative analysis, etc. The thesis analyzes the data based on relevant theories and data collection.The concern by scholars on the traveling activities aroused by the programs did not begin until mid 90th last century. Generally speaking, both domestic and foreign researches are not abundant. Based on this, the writer believes that it is necessary to study the traveling phenomenon aroused by the programs broadly and deeply. Based on systematical analysis on the related literature, this paper broadly analyzes the influences caused by the programs on traveling. The paper can be divided into five parts. First, the writer reviews and summarizes the domestic and foreign research results by the scholars. Then from the point of traveling and receipt psychology, the writer analyzes the traveling motivations of confirmation, escapism, finding the "significative" places in their mind. Then the affirmative effects by the programs are summarized. The programs are taking effects on building the images of the traveling places actively, publicizing the spots effectively, and enriching the formats and contents of travel products. The paper also mentions the passive effects and bad images of the spots caused by the programs. Last but not the least, the paper mentions the problems of exploration of the traveling spots by the programs, and the strategies and suggestions.
