Along with China's economic development and the deepening of reform, China's unemployment problem has become an increasingly serious economic and social problems. Unemployment statistics for the unemployment problem quantitative reflected, it could indicate the number of unemployed persons, , those components of the unemployed, the duration of unemployment and unemployment causes, and it also could report the relevant data to the industry and to the region, so as to study and resolve unemployment problem based on the date , it could play the role of an early warning.China's unemployment statistics due to the unique history of our country and the reasons for a late start, in many ways, can not meet the needs of all sectors of society. Unemployment statistics are mainly from unemployment definitions, indicators and research methods system and be consisted of three parts. To illustrate the gap between China's unemployment statistics system in these areas and the current international system of the unemployment statistics, in the first chapter the author initially study the unemployment theory on the closely related with the unemployment statistics, then introduced the current international system and the unemployment statistics and took the specific practice of the United States as an example, as to show the dialectical relations between the unemployment theory and unemployment statistics, as well as established a comparison basis for China's unemployment statistics system .In this second chapter, the author illustrated the evolution of China's unemployment statistics system and described completely and objectively the history of the unemployment statistics.Next, in the third chapter, the author studied in-depth of the status of China's unemployment statistics to the previous content-based and pointed out the problem existed in China's unemployment statistics from the definition of unemployment, indicators and research methods. Then in the final chapter, put forward some principles and specific reform of views for the problems of China's unemployment statistics in accordance with the above established international basis, as well as the specific conditions of China.Overall, the author carried out in-depth and systematic study on the system of China's unemployment statistics through the inductive method, horizontal and vertical Comparative research methods. In view of the problems and shortcomings with China's specific national conditions, and in the light of the Unemployment statistics experiences and lessons in the developed countries, the auther put forward some suggestions and ideas.
