College's educational reform is a systematic project. And, the curriculum set-up is not only an important part in the teaching reform, but also a key factor in improving the quality of teaching. In recent years, graduates of economic major from domestic ordinary colleges and universities encounter fairly grim employment situation. The main reasons are as follow: curriculum system of economic major established unreasonable in college and university in China, thus has caused the students'knowledge structure, ability, and quality are unable to meet social needs well. Although curriculum system reform conducted in recent years has made curriculum of economic major to be more and more reasonable in our country, but it still far from meeting the country's high standard requirement on talents. This thesis bases on those factors and carries on the analysis to the condition of curriculum set-up of economic major in ordinary universities in Guizhou province. It makes every effort to explore a set of optimum models of curriculum system to meet both the development requirements of economic major and to satisfy the need of regional economies, and also to promote person's full scale development simultaneously.This thesis adopts the literature and case study methods. Its primary contents are to analyze the present situation of curriculum system of economic major in domestic and foreign universities. We take some colleges and universities in Guizhou province as the example to point out the questions in curriculum set-up of economic major in domestic universities and to propose the corresponding countermeasure. Finally, we take Guizhou province as the example to explore the establishment of optimum curriculum models of economic major.The main research results in this thesis can be constructed into an innovative teaching plan of the economic major's courses. The main conclusions are as follow: Curriculum set-up should not simply focus on"discipline". It still should take into account discipline development and social needs. Namely, it should take promoting person's full scale development as the core, take social demand as the guidance, and take the market approval as the basis to establish the curriculum.
