| More than 20 years ago, Chinese project management system was impacted by the Lubuge Works. On the basis of learning management experience in loan projects from the World Bank, China created the construction supervision system in 1988, which has be playing a pivotal role up to now. However, in the practice of this system, some problems arose, and constrained the healthy developement of the supervision industry. Especially after Chinese accession to the WTO, many offshore construction supervision companies enterd into the Chinese construction market and brought a huge challenge to the domestic supervision companies.Supervision companies must look for the key factors of the development, seize the opportunities, continuously upgrade their knowledge and ability and find the right direction to meet the challenges. Only in this way, supervision companies can win a place in the fierce competition of the market. It is an important issue to the supervision managers that how to win.The main thesis of this study is to identify the key factors from many development factors of supervision companies by the way of case analysis, and to give development suggestions to the supervision companies. Meanwhile, because different key factors may have different effects on different-size companies, the supervision companies in China are classified in accordance with the size and discussed separately in this study.This study is mainly in the method of case analysis, such as research literature, interviews with experts and survey research. Firstly, summarize the key factors of supervision companies; Secondly, do the expert interviews, and set up the model of key factors of supervision company development; thirdly, design the questionnaire and conduct site surveys; Finally use SPSS software to obtain first-hand information for statistical analysis.There is no specific research to supervision companies of the relevant factors. Therefore, this study is hoped to provide reference for the future research. |
