With the U.S. economic expansion in the world since WWII, the U.S. MNCs have become one of the most important actors in the international system. In the era when the globalization and the free trade policy are positively initiated, the U.S. MNCs which have strong economic powers have been investing all over the world by means of the foreign direct investment. Bringing the advanced technologies, management experience, talents and funds to those targeted countries, the U.S. MNCs have been playing an important role on the world stage.U.S. MNCs form the main part of U.S. economy, and they almost take up one-third of those seats in the annual evaluation of the world Top 500 Corporations. U.S. MNCs' political behaviors have become more and more powerful, and, undoubtedly, the aim of their political behaviors is to get close to the power and work on it in order to obtain their profits. Liberty, distracting power, autonomy and democracy all together make up the governing principles of the U.S. Government. Under the guidance of the constitutional principle which establishes the separation of powers, the legislative, executive and judicial government agencies inter-restrict and set aside wide political space for other interest groups, providing an important stage for U.S. MNCs' participation in the world's politics. To be impersonal, more interest groups are demanded to join in U.S. democratic system so as to express their own claims. Consequently, the formation of the U.S. MNCs' political behaviors is both inevitable and practical. Definitely, the U.S. MNCs' political behaviors can affect government policies through the enforcement of power, and they will absolutely have great impact upon the U.S. politics. In the introduction, some definitions to those important related concepts are firstly given, and then reasons for choosing this topic are set forth. In addition, the thesis, based on the grand American strategy, will be discussed systematically in five chapters with the cis-American MNCs' political behaviors as its research object. In the first chapter, causes of the formation of U.S. MNCs' political behaviors are described on the ground of America strategy. In the second chapter, performances and manners of the U.S. MNCs' political behaviors are fully discussed upon the combination of theories and examples. The third chapter which is the core of this thesis gives a dialectic analysis of the positive and negative sides of the U.S. MNCs' political behaviors. The U.S. government's ways of facing and dealing with the negative sides of the MNCs' political behaviors are well illustrated in the forth part. The fifth part is the conclusion of the whole thesis. To sum up, the MNCs are not only the important economic actors, but also the vital political entities. As one of the most important constituents of the U.S. interest groups, the MNCs' political behaviors have deeply rooted in the process of the American democratic politics. No matter how complicated and diverse the MNCs' political behaviors are, they must take their effects under the rules of the sovereignty and laws. Therefore, we should keep a rational mind to them, promote their positive functions and supervise them through every aspect and phase so as to form a solid and harmonious management system of the MNCs' political behaviors. Only in this way can the win-win goal be achieved.
