A Research Of Coordinated Development Between New Counrydide Construction And Urbanization In Xiangtan

The central committee of Communist Party has been attaching great importance to countryside task with the focus on"agriculture,countryside and peasant"since the CPC's 16th Congress , there are still many problems, how to construct the new socialist countryside of full vigor and energy has become the common focus of our society. Due to several complicated reasons, there has been an invisible wall between the city and the countryside since long time ago, the so called dual structure obstructs the communication and integration of the countryside and the city, causing series of economic and social problems, the overall effect of countryside-city system can not be exerted. Therefore, the coordinated city-countryside development is an important method to alleviate our social economic problem, and it is of great theoretic and practical significance to research how to promote the coordinated development between new countryside construction and urbanization.The essence of new countryside construction and urbanization is the transformation of economic society of the countryside, and the integration of city-countryside is their common target. Speeding up new countryside construction and promoting urbanization are two different roads with different starting points and focus heading for the same purpose. Without the support of the countryside, there is no development of the city and town, without the mechanism of"industry promoting agriculture"and"city promoting the countryside", new countryside construction cant get the expected result. Urbanization is the necessary requirements of modernization, a driving force and symbol of social economic development, new countryside construction means city-promoting-countryside, industry-supporting-agriculture and overall plan of countryside and city. So we should consider the new countryside construction and urbanization as a whole.Based on the social science academic program supported Xiangtan Social Science Association research about new-countryside-construction and urbanization development in Xiangtan City, this paper uses the interactive development of new countryside construction and urbanization as the focus, introduces the situation of new countryside construction and urbanization in Xiangtan City, employs interactive development theory of new countryside construction and urbanization to analyze the driving force mechanism of interactive development, constructs interactive development model, and provides the policy suggestions for Xiangtan city.
