The Obstacles And Solutions Of Lanzhou To Attract The Foreign Direct Investment

The background of this paper bases on the research of the challenge of the city's competitiveness caused by the economy globalization and the status quo of the Lanzhou's foreign direct investment, and this paper focuses on the obstacles and Solutions of Lanzhou to attract the foreign direct investment and provides some suggestions for the Lanzhou government on the strategy to attract the foreign direct investment.This paper first discusses the inevitability of the foreign direct investment under the circumstances of the economy globalization, and analyzes the necessity and urgency of attracting the foreign direct investment by improving the city's competitiveness. Secondly,by comparing lanzhou with other urban competitiveness, this paper summerizes the importance of a city's competitiveness for attarting foreign direct investment. Then through the analyses of city's competitiveness between Lanzhou and some other cities, macroeconomic performance between the capitals of western China and foreign direct investment environment between Lanzhou and some other western cities,this paper makes clear the vantage and disadvantage of Lanzhou's competitiveness.Fourthly based on the theory of the urban competitiveness, by studying the development, amount of the foreign invested enterprises, investment amount and registered capitals this paper points out the obstacles of Lanzhou's foreign direct investment from five aspects which include the productive elements, demanding elements, relative industries, supporting industries and government effectiveness. Fifthly, from the current status of the foreign investment of Lanzhou, this paper proposes to strengthen the city planning and construction, improve corresponding industry policy, deepen the structure reform of the city and apply the humane resources vantage to consolidate and improve the Lanzhou's competitiveness.Last, this paper makes a conclusion.
