Study Of EVA's Application To The Chinese Listed Electric Power Companies' Performance Evaluation

Evaluating the Chinese listed electric power companies'performance accurately is very important to the development of the electric industry. As a new performance evaluation method, the application of Economic Value Added (EVA) has become a hotspot in the world. But there is no research about EVA's application to the evaluation of Chinese listed electric power companies'performance. This article combines standardized research, case studies and comparative analysis, and puts the three methods into the research of EVA's application to the Chinese listed electric power companies'performance evaluation. This article also demonstrates the adjustment of the EVA's calculation and analyzes the necessity and effectiveness of its application. By comparing the traditional performance evaluation indicator with EVA, the study concludes that the evaluative system of EVA can reflect the operational performance of the listed electric power companies more truly and more accurately.
